Mozzarella – an indispensable addition of the Italian cuisine

Galbani Mozzarella is a soft, fat cow cheese and one of the best known Italian cheeses in the world.

The original mozzarella is produced in ball of approximately 100 g and always kept in its own whey. A good mozzarella is characterized by a fresh milky taste, very mild and delicate, but distinctive and with a hint of sourness. The fresher the cheese, the stronger and more elastic is dough, while aging makes it softer and more sour. Mozzarella is particularly popular in the spring and summer, with fresh tomatoes, topped with decent olive oil and decorated with fresh basil leaves. It goes well with light red and white wines.

Galbani Mozzarella is available in 125 g package, maxi package of 200 g, and 1 kg package for the HoReCa channel.

Mozzarella lovers can now enjoy a convenient and tasty innovation from Galbani, the leading producer of Italian cheeses in the world!
A new Galbani Mozzarella dry is packaged without brine, in a practical 125 g package that allows repeated opening and closing. This way it preserves freshness and grants a longer shelf life to this tasty and mild cheese.

The story of origin

Mozzarella allegedly originates from the surroundings of Rome and documents prove that it was made back in the 15th century, when it was simply called mozza. The name comes from the Italian word mozzare, meaning to cut and it alludes to the method of cheese preparation.
